I have a friend in Irving that does not have internet access at this time. Is there a contact phone number that he can call. I was a resident in Irving for 56 years but now live in McKinney and am a member of the Tea Party here.

Thanks,
Jim

Will Your Voice Be Heard in Austin?
Fellow Patriot:

Last week we reported on the coming combined Senate State Affairs and Health & Human Services Committee Hearing to be held Nov. 23 in Austin. Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst has issued the following charge to the committee:

"Upon passage of federal legislation relating to reform of the health care industry and health insurance industry, study the implications of such legislation on Texas, the health care industry, study the implications of such legislation on Texas, the health care industry, and public and private insurance. Study and monitor the implementation of the insurance regulatory changes, changes to high risk pool, and any other insurance mandates. Study the health care policy changes and the impact to the Medicaid and CHIP programs and the state budget. Assess the impact to all state uninsured and uncompensated care programs and county programs for the uninsured, including county property tax programs.

It is very important that this forensic audit be done to see what is going on in the City. The City had a report done on the financing of the Entertainment District; however it is our understanding that they told the auditor what things were allowed and what things were not allowed. The City came up with a $133,000 discrepancy in their spending -- however, there appears to be a discrepancy of spending of $4.2 million. We need this audit done by an independent auditor that has not been "hired" by the City. If the City has done nothing wrong, then they should not mind having the forensic audit. Either way, we need to have this done. I strongly urg

Rumors of our demise are greatly exaggerated. I am an independent conservative and an active tea partier! As long as Americans stand up for constitutionally limited government, the tea party lives! I like the Libertarian Party for its conservative views, but your head is in the sand if you think the tea party is dead and in the same breath take credit for its life.
Your Party will continue to get my vote if my only other choice is a liberal. Do not discount the tea party just yet.
